The Details
We have a new member to the Shorten family. Her name is Wednesday Victoria and she is beautiful. There are pictures posted below of Wednesday and Mom and Dad just hours after her birth. This is how it all went down:
On Monday February 12 at 10:30 am Monique thought that her water broke so we went into the hospital to get checked out. This is the third week in a row that we had gone into the hospital for various reasons so we expected that it would be a false alarm and we would come right back home. Sure enough it was. We had an appointment scheduled that same day with OB-GYN Doctor to schedule a day to induce labor on the 20th of February. We returned home from that appointment around 4:00pm and Monique started having contractions again. I left for work at 10:00pm that night and left Molly, my younger sister, to watch over Monique and time the contractions. I left work when the contractions got about 5 minutes apart at about 4:00am. They admitted us at 5:00am and Wednesday was born five and a half hours later.

Weight: 7 lbs 12 ozs
Length: 20 3/4 inches
She is eating, sleeping, and pooping like the best of them.
